We are a family of 5, with an extraordinary life that has become our "normal". My husband and I met in the military; we have been married for 10years and complement each other well, I believe. He is quiet and mellow most of the time, while I am more outspoken and determined. He is into technology and convenience...I am old fashioned and would have done well about 80years ago. All 3 of our kids are absolute DOLLS, each in his/her own way. Our eldest is compassionate, kind, and empathetic, and has a gift for making friends and even goes out of her way to include the excluded. Nathan is gentle, loving, and loves a good tickle...but he inherited my stubbornness; showing him a little respect for who he is but believing in his abilities goes a looong way with him! Our youngest is a clown, even at the tender age of 10mos.; having been born with a heart defect that needed surgery when she was 2mos old, she is our tough cookie!
Faith is an extremely important foundation of our life; many see faith as a crutch, but thank God for allowing me to keep walking by giving me one! We are Catholic, with strong Franciscan influences; our life is a reflection of the Franciscan concept of "Perfect Joy" (if you don't know what that means, Google!), and I am constantly working on achieving that ideal in our daily family life.
